I worked many hours, used to pile up as much overtime as I could, 35 Years Of New Kids On The Block 1984 2019 Signature shirt and had a lot of things. Poof, all of those years wasted. I went into deep depression, and hid in World of Warcraft, because why bother starting over from scratch. I hate that ‘had’ feeling. I’ve spent my entire adulthood as a hobby mechanic workin in my own cars and toys. This spring some addicts stole my tool chest and everything I had in the garage, I got a few items recovered and a person charged but am still missing all the main tools of value, about $6-7k. Now every time I go to work on a car I cant even start the project without going to where my toolbox was before my mind says ‘oh fuck I had a toolbox’. Then I get angry and dont even want to do the project. I feel like they not only stole my tools but also the enjoyment I got out of tinkering in the garage... makes me feel kinda lost as it was my main hobby.

In my town a couple of days ago, someone threw a dog crate with a puppy in it in a lake. A fisherman saw it and waded out to save her. She had been in the water for hours and was wounded to boot. She was hypothermic and bleeding from her feet and sides. People are cruel. If seeing abhorrent treatment happen to animals you would consider pets makes your blood boil, understand those animals are no different than the ones that face abuse from this industry at an astronomical scale. I had this happen at a HOTEL once - they had the A/C stuck on full-blast at 14C in the middle of winter, you literally couldn't turn  Flamingo She’s Beauty She’s Grace She’ll Peck You In The Face shirt OFF the A/C in the rooms. They refused to give me a different room (probably because they were full) so I called the Health & Safety Board on them. Funny thing - Monday morning I got a full refund, 2 nights credit from the chain's head office and the hotel itself got a lovely fine and 48 hours to fix the problem. Turns out they'd had a water main break nearly 2 weeks earlier, and noone had taken them to task that entire time.
